To drive interest in my website and hopefully sales

Wordpress - its easy and cheaper than using my web company's blog functionality which they want to charge £500 to install

WOmens issues surrounding body shape and body image and the shopping dilemmas real women face
What kind of blogs make you angry?
Wacky ones where I can't understand what they're on about

Make it interesting Make it snappy Think would someone on Sex & The City want to read it Don't be too commercial Don't register for too many directories - they ask too many questions
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
Anything unsavoury. eg I'll talk about larger busts bus from the perpective of having them not from the perspective that men leering would be interested in.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
Not directly - my website www.blessd.com is growing slowly and I want to stimulate interest so I can make enough money to do my own business full time forever.
How long have you been blogging?
About 2 weeks - was busy orgainising my wedding/honeymoon/house sale/house purchase/doing a full time consultancy assignment to generate cash to keep me going through the recession and to pay for the above!

About 1 hour between Blog/Facebook/Website/Twitter

About 10 - mostly fashion related

Not got around to checking it out yet

Not got around to checking it out yet - am fairly new to all this blog/new media stuff - but I'm a fast learner
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Being very candidly honest about life/things in general. Talking about my business as I'm so enthusiastic people can't help but get wrapped up in what I'm promoting
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
Probably President Obama's - having just been to Hawaii on honeymoon and read his book - I kind of feel like I know him!
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
Spending too much time on things which aren't effective

DOn't know yet - I'm only just starting to look at blogs so haven't got any real favourites yet
