British ex Pats information portal, Set up to serve Brits who want to go and live in Belize. I am hoping that Brits living or who have lived in Belize use the site, and pass on information about their experences.~~ What inspired you to launch your own website? I am going to live in Belize sometime in the next couple of years, and I am trying to set up a web design business over in Belize City. When did you launch your first website, and what was it? 5 years ago it was just a family history site How did you decide on a name for your website? Seemed a good name for what I wanted it to do What makes your website different from other, similar offerings? it has an interactive quality users can add articles, photos, have a blog and use the forum, I am also looking to add some sort of Community part to the site. What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?) Keep it for income. How does your investment of time and money balance against your success? not much investment as yet. If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site? The site has a niche and seems to come well on search engines If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand? All has gone fairly smoothly What method has been most successful for promoting your website? I Have found that digging and stumble upon seem to get a burst of activity How has running your website differed from your expectations? It has been a good experience so far The only problems are getting a good take up of members How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
