Theater Projector Interview Name of your website?Theater Projector Your name? Theater Projector Your Location (city, etc) Beverly Hills Please give us a short summary of your website? Hi everybody. First off, I would like to thank you for checking out Theater Projector. A few of my friends and I were always chatting about the latest in home theater projectors and who’s was better and who’s could beat up who’s. My wife actually told me that if I was going to be spending so much time researching and reviewing and spitting out endless bantar, that I should do it to someone who cares. This is where you come in. I write my opinions, hopes and dreams of every projector that crosses my path right here on Theater Projector. Often, one of my friends will write a post or review as well. We like to think that we’re a bunch of guys who are so passionate about home theater projectors that our passion spills out all over our computers and ultimately to the internet. Gross yes, detailed and comprehensive theater projector coverage, you bet.~~ What inspired you to launch your own website? I was spending so much time on the subject just out of hobby that I had accumulated a large wealth of knowledge. My wife told me that I should put it up on the internet and see if anybody would be interested in what I know. When did you launch your first website, and what was it? In high school, maybe 15 years ago. It was about skateboarding in California. How did you decide on a name for your website? Checked out keywords Google suggested. What makes your website different from other, similar offerings? I always scour the internet for the best prices on any given projector. Normally a website will only give you their price, not anybody else's. What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?) I would like to be able to do this for a living. I don't need to be a billionaire, just enough to raise a family. I would like to be considered an authority on my subject. How does your investment of time and money balance against your success? Very poorly right now. Hopefully it will settle out in the end but it doesn't support me. If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site? I would find articles and pay people to write them. I love the content, I'm just getting sick of writing. If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand? Oh without a doubt. No Problem. What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with? None really. I guess I knew what I was getting into. What has been your biggest challenge? Getting traffic. Plain and simple. What method has been most successful for promoting your website? I'm creating a very sound SEO site. Most of my traffic comes from google searches and it seems to be working well. How has running your website differed from your expectations? I thought I'd get more traffic! How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity? Six months, I will keep it until I die, I might update less but this is a passion of mine. Do you need a home theater projector? Because you should probably sell your TV and hang a projector from your roof. Impress your friends! What is your website address? Theater Projector |
