We provide statistical consulting to undergraduate, graduate, PhD researchers and students.~~ What inspired you to launch your own website? There is a shortage of affordable and reliable statistical consultants who can cater to the students community. Thus, a team of like minded consultants with diverse background teamed up to start PIE TUTORS. When did you launch your first website, and what was it? We started working on the idea of PIE TUTORS in the second half of 2008. However, we launched our official website in March 2009 after we all were sure that we have good prospectus. How did you decide on a name for your website? We were looking for something which has a potential to become a brand name in the field of statistical consulting. Thus, after a lot of discussion on the company name we finally settled with PIE TUTORS What makes your website different from other, similar offerings? We strongly believe that the other companies are equally good. However, our commitment and hard work sets up apart from others. Our clients have high expectations from us and we are committed to deliver the same. What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?) We want to be a leader in the domain of Statistical Consulting. How does your investment of time and money balance against your success? We are working hard and we strive to deliver our best. If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site? We'll devote a higher portion of the budget towards acquiring more resources. If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand? We are prepared for whatever comes our way. What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with? There haven't been much of them yet. What has been your biggest challenge? The biggest challenge was team building. Once our team was ready we didn't find things much difficult after that. What method has been most successful for promoting your website? Internet marketing. How has running your website differed from your expectations? All things are as per expectations as of now. How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
