Saybasic.com is an online retailer of promotional products for corporate giveaways and events.~~ What inspired you to launch your own website? Doing business is my passion, especially if it is an online business. When did you launch your first website, and what was it? The website was first lauched in May 2006. How did you decide on a name for your website? It took me a lot of time in getting my final decision. First, I did not come up with that name. Realizing that most of the domains were already taken, I have come up with a unique name which is Saybasic. No particular idea so that word just popped up to me because promotional products are "Basic" necessity in every business. What makes your website different from other, similar offerings? All products are outsourced, around 700,000 products all in all. We customize these products at a very affordable price, let's say if customers have a limited budget, we find products that suit to their budget needs. What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?) To get a lot of sales, and eventually hire people and give them work. How does your investment of time and money balance against your success? Success is always given once you work hard for it. I put most of my time in researching and doing lots of work how to get into the top. If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site? Nothing in particular, but i'll dedicate myself in getting customers to improve the business performance. Also get writers to help me out writing stuffs about the products and services that our website is promoting. If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand? I should try my very best to keep up with the demand once the site got really big. Get the people's help working with me to finish the job. What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with? As for headache, once there is a problem with the order and the order did not shipped out early to reach the customer. So I have to give discounts to our customer. What has been your biggest challenge? How to get big in this business. What method has been most successful for promoting your website? At this time, there's no particular method yet, but I believe it should have a very good article written by writers promoting the website How has running your website differed from your expectations? Not an easy thick to get into the top. Still working out hard, so I have to do everything. How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity? Three years and six months already.
