Turkey Holiday Packages is a website which is growing constantly into a great source of information for people in the UK looking to travel to Turkey for their holidays, with great resort information, the best Turkey holiday deals and lowest hotel prices.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Turkey is becoming increasingly popular as a destination from the UK because it is outside the Euro-zone, which makes it increasingly good value compared with the traditional UK short-haul destinations of Spain and Greece. Turkey holiday packages in particular, especially all-inclusive deals, are leading the way because of their convenience to travellers not familiar with the country.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Turkey Holiday Packages is a natural reflection of the information we aspire to offer visitors.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Our website has genuine, valuable content and is based largely on the real experiences of people who have been to the places we write about.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
We plan to grow and keep this website longer term, so that it is the first place people come when they are looking for information on Turkey holiday packages.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
So far, it is early days, and the balance is very much on the investment side.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would probably outsource more of the simpler work and free up the in-house team for more complex work.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Oh, I think we have the processes and systems in place to keep up, yes.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
No unexpected costs so far, but many headaches - although to be honest it is what we come to expect in this game.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
It's been going only a few weeks and we are used to waiting quite a while to build regular visitors.
