Collossal Pixel Web Design Interview

Name of your website?

Collossal Pixel Web Design

Your name?

Alistair Hitch

Your Location (city, etc)

London

Please give us a short summary of your website?

This site is for Collossal Pixel, an up and coming web design group aiming to break into the market. The site is very user friendly and is open for anybody to visit as we are not class orientated and we cater for and want to hear from everybody.~~

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I wanted to move into web design and I thought what better than to create my own company and therefore company website. I've always been very into computers and technology and web design is whats really sparked an interest.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This is my first website although I have already launched a nnumber of different websites for clients. It was launched roughly around decemeber time.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I saw a small phrase on a graphic wallpaper and I thought it sounded really good. I checked that there were no other similar companies and groups in this line of work and went forward with the name.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

It is very simplistic and it is very informative (once I have finished the writing) concerning SEO and aims to help people who may not fully understand what SEO is about.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

The goal of it is to increase sales to a point where I have too many people asking for me to work for them!

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I have only just started out so patience is definately a virtue at the moment.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would hire technical experts in certain fields and possible start my own hosting service aswell.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I would struggle, I'm a one man band at the moment.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None so far thankfully. I am a sole trader so I'm not expecting many overheads until I start hiring people.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting the actual site up and running. I still haven't quite got there, I'm something of a perfectionist which can be quite frustrating.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Word of mouth has been the best promotion method so far. It is early days after all.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

None except that it is even more fun than i thought.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I intend to keep it for as long as I can and its already been running for about 3 months. Although definately not in a complete state.

Why have you given information for this Blog?

Purely to get the Collossal Pixel name out there and try to intrigue and inspire people to live their dreams at the same time.

What is your website address?

Collossal Pixel Web Design
